General Notes: Husband - Wendell Baker
He was the first of the Baker family to locate in Buffalo Valley, Pennsylvania.
He was the first of the family to come to Union County, Pennsylvania, and during the trying times of the Revolutionary war aided the Colonies in throwing off the yoke of British oppression.
A native of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, he came to Union County, Pennsylvania, before the War of Independence, but was driven away by the Indians, and returned to his early home. Later in life he again came to Union County and remained, his death occurring there at the age of eighty-eight.
In his family were several daughters and two sons.
