General Notes: Husband - John Lyle

He was one of the pioneers of Belmont County, Ohio. He was a farmer and a strict Presbyterian.

He married, and they removed [from Washington County, Pennsylvania,] to Belmont County, Ohio, where they settled on a farm near the village of Uniontown. He was a man of extraordinary intelligence and force of character and was a highly influential citizen in church and state. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle and their family were faithful members of the old Crabapple Presbyterian Church which was located near their farm home.
