General Notes: Husband - William McDonald

His father died before he was born and he was reared in the home of his maternal grandfather. His educational training, which was of meager order, was obtained in the subscription schools of Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. In early life he was a teamster, later tended fur-naces, and eventually devoted his attention to farming operations. During his lifetime he accumulated an estate of over one hundred acres, located in Madison town-ship, Armstrong County.

He and his wife had eight children; five grew to maturity, three were still living in 1913.
