Kathryn Ann Lusher weds Philip Vance
Kathryn Ann Lusher became the bride of Philip A. Vance on July 3 at one o'clock in St. Patrick's Church.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald L. Lusher, of 221 Elm St. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Vernon G. Vance of Denver, Colo.
The Rev. John Snyder, pastor, officiated at the double-ring ceremony before an altar graced with vases of white chrysanthemums tipped with blue and mauve, the color scheme chosen by the bride.
Mrs. Gladys Reynolds presented musical selections before and during the ceremony.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She was attired in a white Qiana silk floor-length gown styled with a Queen Anne neckline, fitted waistline, long lencon lace sleeves and a gathered skirt which extended into a chapel-length train.
She carried a cluster bouquet of white chrysanthemums and gypsophila tipped in blue and mauve and tied with white streamers.
Her veil of French illusion, edged in lace, was secured with a lace Camelot cap.
Miss Rhonda Lusher attended her sister as maid of honor. She wore a floor-length pleated gown of mauve organza. Her matching picture hat was secured with a veiled bow of illusion. Her cluster bouquet of mauve tipped chrysanthemums were tied with matching streamers.
Craig Vance accompanied his brother as best man. Ushers were John Lusher, brother of the bride, Donald Osborne and Edward Osborne, uncles of the bride.
The bride's mother wore a street-length cream-colored dress with blue and mauve accents and matching accessories. The bridegroom's mother selected a street-length pale yellow ensemble with matching capelet and accessories. Their corsages highlighted the bride's color theme.
The bride's grandmother, Mrs. Kathryn Lusher and great grandmother, Mrs. Mary Bacher were also favored with corsages.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The wedding color scheme was highlighted in the decorations.
Mrs. Karen Linderman, twin sister of the bride, registered guests and served as an aide. Other aides were Janet, Julia, Teresa and Lisa Osborne, Shelly Burnette and Fay Dempsey; Kathy Burnette, cousin of the bride, cut the wedding cake.
Following a wedding trip to Virginia Beach, the newlyweds are residing in Franklin.
The bride was graduated from Rocky Grove High School in 1977 and is employed at K-Mart in Reno. The bridegroom was graduated from Lincoln High School in Denver, Colo. in 1975. He is employed by Conair Inc.
