General Notes: Husband - Abram C. Shoff

Madera, Clearfield Co, PA

He obtained his education in the country schools and as soon as old enough and strong enough went to work in the woods and continued lumbering until it was no longer profitable in that section, the land being practically all cleared off. He owned three acres of land outside of Madera and enjoyed looking after its cultivation. In 1890 he embarked in the mercantile business and built up an excellent trade, assisted in this enterprise by his wife.
They attended the Presbyterian church. In politics he was a Republican. For a number of years he belonged to Lodge No. 669, Odd Fellows, at Glen Hope.

General Notes: Wife - Cynthia E. Lukens

from Philipsburg, Centre Co, PA
