General Notes: Husband - Abraham Lowman
Of Dutch descent, he came from Ligonier Valley, in Pennsylvania, settling in Armstrong township, Indiana County, in 1793. He located on the farm later owned by the Neal family, operating a large tract of land until his death.
He purchased the "settlement right" of Tolly Rogers, who escaped the massacre which occurred on the Robinson farm; he served about three months in the Indian war which preceded the treaty of Greenville, being stationed most of the time on Crooked Creek, in what is now Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.
