General Notes: Husband - Nathan Harvey Biddle
He was reared on a farm and engaged in farming and stock-dealing all his life. He came with his parents from Washington County, Pennsylvania, to Cumberland Township, Greene County, in 1840, and made it his home, eventually owning over seven hundred acres of valuable land in Greene County.
He and his wife were members of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Carmichaels, Pennsylvania, in which he was one of the elders. He took an active interest in the educational affairs of the county, served as school director for twelve years, and was a member of the board of trustees of Waynesburg College for a number of years.
