General Notes: Husband - Capt. William Bailey
York, York Co, PA
He served, in 1775, as second lieutenant of the Independent Light Infantry Company of the first battalion of York County, Pennsylvania, Militia, formed in Yorktown, December, 1775. The company was commanded in 1776 by William Bailey as captain, and was captured by the British at the fall of Fort Washington. He settled in York-town after the Revolution.
General Notes: Wife - Mary Ann Duncan
She was probably the daughter of [Unk] Duncan and Margaret Mason,
the latter a native of Scotland, who died Nov. 16, 1802, leaving funds with which to build the second United Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia.
