Irvona, Clearfield Co, PA

He was a well-known and successful farmer and lumberman in Irvona, Pennslvania, a native of Maine, whence he had come in young manhood, and it was in his native State that he gained his knowledge and experience of the lumber situation, which he applied to the new conditions which he found in Pennsylvania. He was prominent in the affairs of Irvona and was well known in church, social and charitable circles there.
