General Notes: Husband - George Townsend

He was reared on a farm, and received his education in the public schools of Kiskiminetas township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. At the death of his father he bought the homestead farm. It contains one hundred and thirty-seven acres, and became one of the best farms in the county.
He was a democrat in politics, but no aspirant for office. He was a member of the Lutheran church at Maysville, of which he was deacon and elder.
