He came to Washington County, Pennsylvania, and November 7, 1810, purchased a homestead farm of something over 432 acres in Cross Creek township. He always followed farming.
He and his wife were members of the Associate Reformed Church in West Middletown, and he was a ruling elder in the same for many years.
