Civil War: he served twenty months in the 6th Ohio Cavalry, and later resided on a farm in Chippewa township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.

Civil War: he served for twenty months in the Sixth Regiment Pennsylvania Cavalry, and later was a foreman in the cork works at College Hill, where he resided.
