General Notes: Husband - John Godfrey Schilling
He was born in Saxony, Germany, and was there reared to maturity. He was a drover and farmer and became owner of a fine farm near Meiningen. In 1863, one year after the departure of their son, Alexander, he and his wife left for America and settled on a farm near Wahlville, on the Connoquenessing Creek, in Butler County, Pennsylvania, where they passed the remainder of their lives.
