General Notes: Husband - John Rynd
He accompanied his father to America in 1799. They labored together in the early improvement and development of the large property purchased in Venango County, Pennsylvania, and he prospered so well in his own activities that he was able to add to the original estate, giving each of his sons a good farm and each of his daughters the equivalent in money. His well directed industry made him one of the most prosperous men of that section. He kept a house of entertainment for the convenience of travelers on the Warren and Franklin road, established Rynd post office, one of the first in the county, was an elder of Cherry Tree Presbyterian Church at the time of its reorganization, and was altogether one of the most influential men of his day in the locality. He and his wife had a family of five sons and three daughters. [CAB, 801]
