General Notes: Husband - Clarence D. Baker
He was educated in the public schools of Butler, Pennsylvania, graduated from high school in 1906, and in 1910 received his A. B. degree from Allegheny College. He also attended the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh. In 1912 he was admitted to the Butler County bar, at which time he opened his own office in the I. O. O. F. Building. In 1921 he moved to his present location in the McClung Building.
While in college Mr. Baker played on the varsity football team for two years, the baseball varsity team, basketball varsity team, and was captain of this team for two years. Mr. Baker was later coach of the Allegheny College basketball team.
He served on the City Council of Butler for one term, when Butler was a borough, and also as borough treasurer. He was a Republican, a member of the Methodist Church, Butler County Bar Association, Butler Country Club, B. P. O. Elks No. 170, Delta Tau Delta, of which he was president for some years, and was record keeper of the Maccabees.
