General Notes: Husband - Samuel W. Moore

He came to America at the age of twenty, and first landed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he worked about a year, and then went to Pittsburgh, and worked for a time on the abutment of the old Allegheny bridge. In 1831 he bought 300 acres of land, and in the autumn of that year moved to the farm. He and his wife were members of the United Presbyterian church at Service.
