General Notes: Husband - Jesse O. Strickler
He started out in life a poor boy, and received his education in the common schools of Franklin township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. He acquired a farm of one hundred and ten acres, on which were good buildings and other improvements. In politics he was a Democrat, and in religion he and his wife were Presbyterians. He was a member of the county grange of the Patrons of Husbandry and was a director of the Grange Insurance Company for several years.
