General Notes: Husband - Dr. Willis Austin McCall
He spent his boyhood on the home place in Franklin Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, and attended the district schools. He was graduated from Slippery Rock State Normal School in 1897 and spent the following three years as a teacher in the schools of Butler County. He then entered the School of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, from which he received his degree in 1904. Doctor McCall engaged in practice in Washington County, Pennsylvania, from 1904 until 1915 and after that time was located at Butler. During the World War he volunteered for service and served throughout the war period with the rank of captain in the Medical Corps at Camp Greenleaf, Georgia.
Doctor McCall was a Republican, a member of the Methodist church, and belonged to the American Legion and Lions Club. He was a charter member of Victory Lodge, F. & A. M., Butler, and belonged to the Pittsburgh consistory. [HBC 1927, 977]
