Ambrose, Indiana Co, PA
He was born in South Mahoning township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, and there engaged in farming until his removal to Maryland, where he remained several years. He finally returned to South Mahoning township, and there conducted successful farming operations until his retirement. He was a veteran of the Civil War, serving two years in the Union army from Indiana County.
He and his wife were members of the Plumville Presbyterian Church.
