General Notes: Husband - Robert E. Orr

He was reared in his native township and obtained a common school education. Prior to 1902 his time was mainly spent as a farmer in St. Clair Township, but in that year he bought a farm of seventy-nine acres in Peters Township, Washington County, on which he then resided and carried on general farming and dairying. This was the old McCabe farm, the old homestead farm of his wife's people. He and his family were members of the Center Presbyterian Church of Peters Township, in which he was an elder for some years. In his political views, Mr. Orr was a Republican. He served as a member of the township school board, of which he was treasurer.
