General Notes: Husband - Emil E. Maurhoff


He was born in Saxonburg, Butler County, Pennsylvania, and received an excellent education in Witherspoon Institute, and later became a civil engineer. He commenced practicing his profession in that part of the state, and shortly after his marriage removed to Pittsburgh, where he remained until 1877, then to Saxonburg, and in 1894 to Brackenridge, Allegheny County. He served as school director in Saxonburg, and as borough engineer in Brackenridge. He was once a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and later became a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics.
