General Notes: Husband - Frank Ray McBride
He attended school until he was eighteen years of age, but obtained also such a thorough training in agriculture that at his father's death he was a thorough-going farmer, in 1906 assuming complete charge of the estate. Soon after his marriage he purchased the old Byers homestead of one hundred acres, and transformed it into a fine modern country place. It was located on the old Pike and commanded a fine view of the surrounding country. It was one of the historic places of the county, and remained in the Byers family for several generations, Mr. McBride had a deed dated 1792 conveying the old farm from the original estate.
Mr. McBride was a Democrat in politics, and a member of the Presbyterian Church.
