General Notes: Husband - John D. Gamble




His education was received at home under his father, who was a prom­inent educator of his day. By trade he was a tanner, and worked at that business fourteen years. He also owned a well-improved farm in the northern part of South Shenango township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania. In his political views he was a Democrat. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church.
