General Notes: Husband - Abraham Ogden


He was born on a farm located within the later limits of Clearfield borough, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, and grew to manhood there, receiving his education in the Clearfield schools. He followed agriculture from early manhood, and in 1836 he purchased a partly-improved tract, with a log house as a residence. He made his home there, adding many improvements from time to time. He held a commanding influence in local affairs and in the councils of the Democratic organization. In 1876 he was elected associate judge of Clearfield County, and held the office five years.
