BROTHERS MEET DEATH AT SCENE OF OIL WELL
Herbert and John Whitman, brothers, aged 33 and 21, respectively, were killed in the explosion at Semple's Corners on New Year's afternoon. Their original home was in Muttontown.
They were the sons of Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Whitman, of that place.
Herbert is survived by his wife, Susan, and the following children: Arthur, Bert, Helen and Leonard; his parents, Mr. andMrs. L. H. Whitman, of Muttontown; and the following brothers; Edward, of Rouseville, Earl, of Sugarcreek; and Bert, at home.
John Whitman was employed by the Bowers Torpedo Co., of Rouseville. His wife, Esther, and a son, Delos, survive, together with the brothers already mentioned.
Funeral services are now being arranged.
