Panic, Jefferson Co, PA

He was born in Delaware, and, coming to Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, in the early days, experienced the hardships of pioneer life in a roughly-built " shanty." He became wealthy as the locality was developed, and his later years were spent in comfort. In 1860 he erected a fine modern residence on his homestead in McCalmont township, where he died.
He was one of the founders of Zion Cumberland Church, and a ruling elder from the time of its organization until his death.
