General Notes: Husband - James Langfitt

---

He was a soldier in the War of 1812, and a stranger to sickness and pain. On the day of his death, he told his family that he was going to die. He walked to the door, took one look at the outside world, bid it farewell, then walked to his bed, where he lay down and died, without a groan or sign of pain.
