Turtle Creek, Allegheny Co, PA
He inherited some city property and the farm on which he made his home all his life. He was an active worker in the republican party, but sought no office for himself. He was associated with the U. P. Church.
He was physically strong, but died from the effects of a carbuncle on his neck.
He was for several years captain of a militia company, which gave him his title.
