General Notes: Husband - Charles Addison Morris


He married and settled on his father's farm in Oliver township, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania.

He was reared on a farm and gained his early education in the district schools. He devoted three years to service as a teacher in the rural schools, and then resumed active agricultural pursuits.
He was a Democrat, held various township offices, and served one three-year term as county auditor, a position to which he was elected in 1893. He multiple terms as justice of the peace and gave long and effective service as school director.
