General Notes: Husband - John D. Wilson

He was a farmer by occupation, and resided on the old farm of his father and grandfather.
In August, 1862, he enlisted in the seven months' service in Co. H, 134th P. V. I. He participated in the battle of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and was wounded there. He was subsequently confined in the hospital for a while, and not being fit for duty was honorably discharged and returned home.
In 1866, he erected a new residence on the site of his grandfather's cabin.
He and his wife held their religious connection with the Neshannock Presbyterian Church.
