General Notes: Husband - Isaac N. Pearce

The Pearce family was founded by three brothers, who migrated from England to Boston, Massachusetts, where one exchanged a piece of land, now a part of the city, for a pony. One of the brothers removed to Connecticut, and subsequently located in New Jersey, where Isaac N. was born, near Freehold, Monmouth County. The latter served in the last three years of the Revolution. He migrated to Derry township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, in 1790.

The Pearces are of Scotch-Irish descent, who originally settled in Monmouth County, New Jersey, about the year 1740. Isaac M. Pearce removed west in 1792 and bought a farm in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, near New Alexandria.
