General Notes: Husband - David Maclay

---

He moved to Clarion County in 1845 from Lewistown, Pennsylvania.
He was a Presbyterian and a staunch Republican. During the Civil War, at the time the Southern army came into Pennsylvania, he went out with the militia, his sympathies being always with the Union soldiers.
He was a Pennsylvania State Senator, 1872-75.
He died in Missoula, Montana, having moved there from Clarion, Pennsylvania, in 1892, in order to be near his sons who made their homes there.
