General Notes: Husband - James Mackey


He was born near Invirness, Scotland, and after removing to County Tyrone, Ireland, and living there a few years, came to America in 1765, in company with two brothers, one of whom located in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and was afterwards chosen a delegate to the convention that framed the constitution of Pennsylvania.

Of the Clan Mackey. He was born near Inverness, Scotland, and for a few years lived in County Tyrone, Ireland, marrying Keziah Rebecca Murphy, of that county. He came to America in 1765 with two of his brothers. During the American Revolution he served in the Continental army. One of the brothers located in South Carolina; the other brother settled in Chester County. [CAB, 412]
