General Notes: Husband - Seth J. Koon


He left the school room at the age of twenty years and then taught one term. During the first four years following his school life he worked with his father on the farm. He was then married and began farming for himself in Pymatuning Township, Mercer County, PA, while later for three years he was employed as an engineer in a coal mine, and then returning to farm life his home was in Otter Creek Township until about 1897, when he purchased and moved to a farm in Deer Creek Township. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and served as steward and class leader in his religious home. In politics he was a stanch and true Republican.


General Notes: Wife - Nancy J. Williams


She was educated in the public schools and the Sheakleyville, PA, high school, and commenced teaching at the age of eighteen years. She married her first husband at the age of nineteen.
