General Notes: Husband - Dr. Samuel Axtell
He moved with his family to Mercer County, Pennsylvania, and located in Sheakleyville in 1825. He practiced in the village and the surrounding country until 1852.
He came to Sheakleyville, then Georgetown, in 1825, and engaged in the practice of his profession until 1858, and he engaged in farming and mercantile business in New Vernon. His family consisted of twelve children.
