General Notes: Husband - John Kocher

He was born in Germany, and coming to America prior to 1835, settled on a farm in Jackson Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, near the Lancaster Township and Beaver County lines. He had the misfortune to lose his first wife, she dying on board ship, while on the passage to America. He then married a widow whose husband had also died on shipboard while on the voyage to this country. Of this marriage, John Henry was the only issue.
