General Notes: Husband - William Carns Knox, Jr.
After completing a general education at the Ligonier High School in 1924, he attended the University of Pittsburgh for one year. During the same period he began his banking career, working in various capacities for the East End Savings and Trust Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1925 he joined the Mellon National Bank and during the ensuing seven years rose through the various departments until he attained the post of teller, the office he held at the time he resigned in 1932. During the latter year he came to Ligonier and has since served as teller of the First National Bank here with distinction and success. He was a Republican in politics, fraternized with the Blue Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, and worshiped at the Methodist Episcopal Church of Ligonier, in which he served as a member of the board of stewards.
