General Notes: Husband - Samuel Knox
He emigrated from Scotland to the United States and settled in the Ligonier valley, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, on what became known as Four-Mile Run. Later he moved to the vicinity of Idlewild, where he passed the remainder of his life.
He followed the occupation of farming during most of his life, but at one time he owned and operated a hotel on the old Bedford Pike Road, later called the Lincoln Highway.
