General Notes: Husband - Jacob Trax

The youngest of his siblings, he was reared in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and educated in the public schools. He learned the cabinet maker's trade, which he followed for several years. In 1850 he moved to Beaver County, then in 1877 he moved to the east coast and bought a farm of 200 acres, near Baltimore, Maryland. He returned to Beaver County in 1886 and engaged in different kinds of business until he built a store in Rochester. He was an extensive owner of real estate in Rochester.
He and his wife were members of the Methodist Episcopal church, and he was steward, class leader, trustee and Sabbath-school teacher. In politics he was a Democrat.
