General Notes: Husband - William Jasper Nicolls
He was a civil and mining engineer, and the author of several railroad treaties. In 1878 he was elected a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and in 1885 a member of the American Society of Mining Engineers. Resided at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
