General Notes: Husband - Thomas Orbison
He purchased a farm near Willalloways Creek, in York (later Adams) County, where his family resided during the Revolutionary War; he was in the military service of the United States, and was commissioned captain, July 5, 1777. About the close of the war, he moved to Millerstown (later Fairfield), Adams County, where he engaged in mercantile business until he died, of scarlet fever.
He was a good English scholar and wrote a fine hand.
