• Burial: : Rockland Cemetery, Rockland Twp, Venango Co, PA. There is no marker for him in the cemetery. However, older graves can often be located by observing a slight depression in the ground where, as pine boxes and remains decayed, the soil settled in. There are two such depressions right next to the marker for his father, Jonathan Lusher. It seems reasonable to suppose that one of them is the grave of Jonathan's wife, and the other could be the grave of their bachelor farmer son, Peter Simon Lusher.

Peter S. Lusher
Peter S. Lusher, aged 71 years, died of heart failure, Wednesday evening, Dec. 17, at the family home in Rockland township, near Davis Corners. He is survived by the following sisters: Mrs. Elmira Mouch, of Mercer; Mrs. Miranda Forbus, of Mercer; Miss Martha Lusher, at home; also the following brothers: David Lusher of Ellwood City and Miles Lusher, at home.
Funeral services held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Rockland cemetery-Franklin News Herald.

RECENT DEATHS
Peter S. Lusher, aged 71 years, a lifelong resident of Rockland township, died at his home near Davidsons Corners at 5 o'clock Wednesday evening. The deceased was a retired farmer and was widely known in that region. He was a member of the Methodist church of Rockland.
He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Elmira Mouch, of Mercer; Mrs. Miranda Forbus, of Mercer; Miss Martha Lusher and Miles Lusher, at home; David Lusher, of Elwood City.
