Death of Jonathan Lusher
Jonathan Miles Lusher was born December 10, 1855, in Pennsylvania and died August 25, at his farm home in Adams township after an illness of four months.
He married in Pennsylvania on June 3, 1886, and in 1903 he moved his family to Arenac county where he spent 31 years of his life. Besides his widow, Margaret, he is survived by three sons, Frank, Oren and Lester; three daughters, Mrs. Daisy Cummings, Mrs. Ray Collins and Mrs. Henry Wilson; three brothers and two sisters.
He was a member of the Methodist church.
Funeral services were held from the deceased's late home at 2:00 o'clock and 2:30 at the Sterling M. E. church Tuesday afternoon, Rev. G. T. Nevin officiating. Burial was made in the Sterling cemetery.

MARGARET B. SHAFFER, born in Rockland, Venango county, Pa., May 24, 1865, passed away at her home in Moores Junction on June 26, 1943, at the age of 78 years, one month and two days. She was united in holy matrimony to Johnthan Miles Lusher on June 3, 1886, at Rockland, Pa., Mr. Lusher departing this life nine years ago.
To this union nine children were born, six of whom survive. They are Mrs. Daisy Cook, Mrs. Elizabeth Collins, Oren Lusher, Bay City; Frank Lusher, Applegate; Lester Lusher, Gaylord and Mrs. Inez Wilson, Sterling. Surviving also are two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Susan Alford, Franklin, Pa.; Mrs. Ola Sitlenger, Erie County, Pa.; H. L. Shaffer, Cionberry, Pa.; and 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren, besides a host of nephews and nieces and many friends.

MRS. MARGARET B. LUSHER, Standish--Mrs. Margaret B. Lusher, 78, a long-time resident of Adams township, Arenac county, died Sunday at her home following a long illness. She was born May 24, 1865, in Rockland, Pa., and was married June 3, 1886, in Rockland to Jonathan Lusher. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Daisy Cook and Mrs. Elizabeth Collins, both of Bay City, and Mrs. Inez Wilson, of Sterling; three sons, Oran, of Bay City, Frank, of Applegate, and Lester, of Gaylord; two sisters, Mrs. Susan Alford, of Frankland, Pa., and Mrs. Ola Sitlinger, of Erie county, Pa.; and a brother, H. L. Schaffer, of Crownberry, Pa. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Sterling Methodist church. The Rev. William C. Lovejoy will officiate and burial will be in the Sterling cemetery.

Mrs. Miles Lusher
Mrs. Miles Lusher, 78, former resident of Venango County, died at her home in Sterling, Mich., Sunday morning.
She was born in Richland Township, the daughter of Washington and Margaret Shafer. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. James Alford, of Rockland.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Sterling.
