General Notes: Husband - John M. Stover


He was raised on the Stover homestead, and was occupied through life as a farmer and stock raiser. He received his education in the public schools of his neighborhood, and at the Normal School in Rebersburg. When a young man he taught school for nine months in Rebersburg, in Clinton and Centre counties, and during the summer worked on the home farm. In 1872, on the retirement of his father from active work, he took charge of the farm on which he soon made many improvements. In politics he was a Democrat; he was a member of the Lutheran Church, and was a teacher in the Sabbath-school; socially he was identified with Sugar Valley Lodge No. 429, I. O. O. F., at Loganton.
