General Notes: Husband - Jesse Love

---

He received his early education in the public schools of his native county, and then learned the trade of carpenter and builder. In 1842 he settled in the town of Clarion, Pennsylvania, pur­chasing a lot on the corner of Main street and Seventh avenue, which he cleared of the tim­ber and on which he erected a residence and where he lived until his death. In 1844 he was injured and his eyesight impaired by an accidental fall, and he was compelled to retire from his trade, and he then established the Eagle Hotel at Main street and Seventh avenue, which he owned and conducted for twenty-two years. He was a Democrat in politics, and a Presbyterian in religion.
