A civil engineer and contractor, he was identified with many public works. He was prothonotary of Erie County, Pennsylvania, two terms, and a member of the contracting firms of Sanger, Camp & Co. in the west, and of King, Brown & Co. in the construction of the Philadelphia and Erie R. R.
