General Notes: Husband - Harrison Kaufman

He received his education in the Plumville Academy. For twenty-five years he taught during the winters and in the summers engaged in farming in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. For some time he held the office of township auditor. He was a Republican, and for thirty years or more served as elder in the Presbyterian church of Bethel, Pennsylvania.
