General Notes: Husband - Pember Waid
He was born August 21, 1774. [HCC 1885, 1166]
He was a ship-carpenter, a vocation he chiefly followed until he came to Crawford County, Pennsylvania, where, after constructing canal-boats there for a short period, he withdrew from active life. His son Francis heard heard him say he saw the British troops when they burned the American shipping at Pettibaug (now Essex), Connecticut.
