General Notes: Husband - Daniel Kaine

He and his wife were natives of Ireland and were reared near the Giant's Causeway. He figured as a revolutionist in the rebellion and sought to free Ireland in 1797, and was for that reason compelled to flee his native land. He came to the United States, locating first in Philadelphia, whence he soon removed to Cornwall iron works, Lancaster (later Lebanon) County, Pennsylvania, where he was compelled to accept the first work that was offered him and became a collier.
