General Notes: Husband - Louis Long
He settled in Pine Creek township, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania in 1803. But little is known of his early history except that his father was an officer in one of the companies of Hessian troops who came over to the Americas from the British, and fought for them during the Revolution. He was a noted hunter, and this love for the chase descended to his children. After residing in Jefferson County for several years, he removed to Ohio, after which all trace of him is lost.
